Clyde & Co US LLP seeks an associate to join our growing Seattle office. This practice covers a wide range of liability and insurance challenges in matters involving insurance coverage and bad faith, catastrophic injury and wrongful death, UIM defense, premises liability, trucking/transportation claims, and employment and property disputes.
Responsibilities
- Take depositions, attend hearings, and mediations as required.
- Draft and submit pleadings, motions, and briefs.
- Prepare correspondence to colleagues and clients.
- Conduct legal research using Westlaw/Lexis/Nexis.
- Draft discovery requests and discovery responses.
- Review and analyze documents and materials for production.
- Actively investigate claims and prepare case handling strategies.
- Actively and effectively report to our insurance carrier clients and insureds.
- Prepare cases for trial/mediation and participate in trial/mediation.
Requirements
- Admitted to practice in Washington state.
- Civil litigation experience.
- Excellent legal research, writing, and oral communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to simultaneously handle sensitive and time-sensitive matters.
- Effective problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects.

Pay
The salary range for this position is $125,000 - $200,000. The range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.
