Associate Attorney, Arizona

We are a consumer protection law firm located in the Financial District of New York City, providing representation to consumers who have been harassed or otherwise deceived by creditors and debt collectors. Responsibilities

• Maintaining and supervising a heavy & diversified caseload of the Firm’s clients in Arizona.
• Communicating with clients regarding their respective matters.
• Drafting pleadings, motions, legal memoranda, reviewing & drafting agreements, etc.
• Communicating with opposing parties to resolve/settle claims.
• Legal research related to simple and complex issues in contract law and other areas of consumer law.

Requirements

• Must be currently admitted to practice law in Arizona.
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience at a law firm.
• Possess superior organizational & time-management skills to meet strict deadlines.
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
• Highest ethical standards and professional integrity.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work easily with senior management and employees at all levels throughout the organization.
• Strong legal research skills -- proficiency in LexisNexis is a plus.

Skills

• Experience drafting legal documents such as pleadings and legal memoranda.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Willingness to take on a heavy workload.
