About the role

Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman is seeking to hire a 4th–5th year associate to join the Litigation practice group in the Los Angeles office.

Responsibilities

• Handle and manage all aspects of litigation, including fact investigation, pleadings, discovery, experts, motions, pretrial proceedings, trial, settlement, and related matters.
• Develop and maintain strong business and client relationships.
• Significant experience across all phases of discovery, including preparing witnesses for depositions, drafting complaints, answers, motions, briefs, and settlement agreements, and managing the filing and service of pleadings.
• Work effectively under pressure, deliver high-quality work product, and manage junior attorneys to meet deadlines.

Requirements

• A strong academic background.
• Exceptional research, analytical, oral advocacy, and writing skills.
• A bachelor’s degree and a Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited U.S. law school with excellent academic credentials.
• A member of the California State Bar in good standing.

Qualifications

Benefits

The California pay range for this role is $310,000–$365,000, with the final offer amount dependent on the candidate’s skills and experience.
