Associate Asset Protection- Chester County

About the role

The Asset Protection Associate is responsible for protecting the company's retail store assets by investigating the loss of assets including merchandise, money, and property. This role focuses on preventing loss and shrink within an assigned district of sixteen stores through monitoring, investigating, surveillance, and other loss prevention tactics. The associate collaborates closely with the Asset Protection team and store teams to identify opportunities and deploy resources effectively.

Responsibilities

• Detects and resolves internal and external theft incidents.
• Serves as the primary contact for safety and security issues in assigned stores.
• Conducts daily store tours to identify deficiencies and execute corrective actions.
• Maintains awareness of high-risk areas to reduce and control merchandise losses.
• Reviews shrink best practices and execution of shrink reduction strategies during store visits, focusing on areas such as rotation, backroom organization, and follow-up tasks.
• Analyzes shrink reports and assists in addressing issues and opportunities in the assigned district.
• Assists with preparation for NP inventories, attends inventories to assist with count audits and paperwork.
• Burns videos for Risk Management, Liaison Supply Chain, C&S, and investigations as needed.
• Submits electronic markdowns.
• Conducts focus walks and follow-ups, including planning and executing training needs (e.g., KLT, product rotation, CAO, receiving, front-end).
• Initiates service calls for locksmiths, keys and cores, alarms, and CCTV.
• Assists in implementing and communicating company policies and procedures related to safety and security training programs.
• Ensures a safe store environment to prevent theft and provides a secure shopping destination.
• Coordinates with the Asset Protection team to ensure accurate and efficient deployment of resources.
• Assists with coverage for DST meetings and Asset Protection functions when the Asset Protection Manager is unavailable.
• Supports the Asset Protection Manager with special projects.
