About the role

As an Associate Asset Manager - Collateral Surveillance within PNC's Midland organization, you will oversee limited portfolios and routine borrower requests for securitized CMBS, Agency, SASB, SFR, or other portfolios comprised of loans secured by income-producing commercial real estate. You will review financial statements, loan covenants, market, and economic data to determine economic and/or compliance impact, assess property inspections, and monitor and report on watch list assets.

Responsibilities

  • Review financial statements, loan covenants, market, and economic data for CMBS, SFR, Agency, SASB, or other securitized commercial real estate to determine economic and/or compliance impact.
  • Determine equity risk category and oversee assigned portfolios.
  • Review and process customer inquiries while adhering to established compliance procedures.
  • Monitor and report on watch list assets.
  • Interact with external parties, including rating agencies, special servicers, investors, and 17G-5 providers, as well as internal parties.
  • Assess property inspections for watch list determinations and escalate to internal partners as needed.
  • Board collateral-related information and report to required parties.
  • Provide analytical or other support to the Asset Management Department.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal business partners to aid cross-departmental decision-making.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with less than 1 year of professional experience, or successful completion of a formal development program. In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education, job-specific certifications, and experience (including military service) may be considered.
  • Working knowledge of commercial real estate, including industry terminology and capital markets.
  • Proven ability to make accurate and informed decisions.
  • Strong financial accounting and analysis skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Effective multitasking skills with the capability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate effectively.
