About the role

The Associate Analyst I position supports the Portfolio Solutions Team by assembling, reviewing, and validating investment data to ensure accuracy and integrity. They conduct quantitative and qualitative investment analysis to support portfolio management and decision-making. Responsibilities also include preparing investment recommendations, performance reports, and portfolio monitoring materials. Additionally, they assist with model trade implementation processes, risk controls, analytics governance, and management of internal and external investment tools.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Portfolio Solutions Team by assembling, reviewing, and validating investment data to ensure accuracy and integrity.
  • Conduct quantitative and qualitative investment analysis to support portfolio management and decision-making.
  • Prepare investment recommendations, performance reports, and portfolio monitoring materials.
  • Aid in model trade implementation processes, risk controls, analytics governance, and management of internal and external investment tools.
  • Develop investment knowledge and decision-making capabilities through participation in asset allocation implementation, portfolio construction, portfolio monitoring, and investment manager selection activities.
  • Partner with Investment Manager Research, Investment Risk, Asset Allocation, and other key stakeholders to support investment decisions aligned with the firm's long-term strategy and investment philosophy.
  • Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of portfolio solutions, processes, and investment oversight activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Progress toward completion of the CFA designation preferred.
  • Series 7 and Series 66 (or Series 63/65 combination) licenses required or obtainable within six months of hire.
  • Experience with investment and data analysis tools such as Morningstar Direct, FactSet, Bloomberg, BlackRock Aladdin, Tableau, Microsoft Office, and/or programming languages including Python, R, or SQL.
  • Experience with multi-asset portfolios, manager selection, and/or fund management is a plus.

Compensation provided for using, not obtaining, the rating.

Schedule

Candidates that live within a commutable distance from our Tempe, AZ and St. Louis, MO home office locations are expected to work in the office four days per week.
