About the Role

At Alpha, your role focuses on motivation and life skills, not academic instruction. Students master core subjects through AI-powered learning platforms, freeing you to facilitate workshops and individual sessions that drive personal growth and goal achievement.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate one-hour life-skills workshops for K-8 cohorts on public speaking, focus, and constructive feedback.
  • Conduct daily individual and small-group motivation sessions to ensure 100% completion of weekly app goals, using Coachbot data and Alpha’s incentive systems.
  • Administer Test2Pass mastery assessments for each life skill and provide additional coaching until mastery is achieved.
  • Refine workshop content and create new sessions to engage students from kindergarten to 8th grade.
  • Serve as a trusted adult who maintains high expectations while fostering voluntary student confidences.

What You Won’t Be Doing

  • Delivering traditional lectures, designing academic curricula, or grading assignments.
  • Conducting standardized test preparation or managing class-wide test performance.
  • Handling parent conferences, correspondence, or behavior management for large groups.

Requirements

  • Ability to work in person at an Alpha campus in: Scottsdale, AZ; Oklahoma City/Tulsa, OK; Nashville, TN; Dallas, Plano, Fort Worth, Houston, Brownsville, TX; Springfield, MA; or Park City, UT (relocation assistance available).
  • Bachelor’s degree in any field.
  • Minimum 3 years of direct experience with K-8 students (classroom, tutoring, coaching, camp leadership, etc.).
  • Comfort with adaptive learning software handling academics while you focus on motivation.
  • History of high achievement and upholding rigorous standards.
  • Engaging stage presence for K-8 audiences.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.

Qualifications

  • Background in youth athletics, debate, drama, camp leadership, or after-school programming with accountability for student goals.
  • Experience delivering social-emotional learning (SEL) or durable-skills instruction.
  • Example of a student transitioning from disengaged to committed under your guidance.
  • Familiarity with generative AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini).

Benefits

Full-time, W2 position with immediate access to benefits. Compensation: $100,000 USD/year, paid weekly.

Schedule

Full-time, in-person at an Alpha campus. Year-long position.
