Responsibilities

  • Oversees the identification, analysis, and assessment of regulatory and contractual compliance of aerospace systems, products and services.
  • Coincide with engineering teams, project administrators, and regulators (may include international regulators/validation authorities) to successfully certify projects for commercial aircraft production teams.
  • Review certification plans, write letters to regulators, and understand compliance process.
  • Leading cross-functional teams resulting in resolution of technical issues.
  • Coincide with technical messaging and partnering with the FAA on regulatory issues.
  • Own, manage, and have/develop technical aptitude to enable execution of process/procedure documents (BPM, BPIs, D6s, D950s, etc.).
  • Ensure proper coordination across products, platforms and functional areas to promote culture of compliance to requirements and application of procedures and FAA guidance.
  • Develop strategic action plans for changes to certification processes and execute those plans through completion.
  • Contribute to root cause corrective action plans for development and execution of noncompliance’s, voluntary disclosures, informal corrective actions, formal corrective actions, etc. including reviewing/researching processes, design practices, analysis, conducting root cause analysis, and identifying/owning corrective actions and corrective action plans.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
  • 2+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience working directly with the FAA or and ODA on type Certification projects
  • Experience and familiarity with FAA processes and procedures and ODA and Applicant roles

Qualifications

  • Experience utilizing professional/technical writing skills, teaming successfully to solve technical issues
  • Experience developing and managing internal processes and procedures
  • Experience in a role developing, leading, and executing projects and utilizing project processes / skills
  • Experience in customer relationship development, promoting long term account plans, and growing trusting relationships
  • Experience presenting to multiple levels of an organization
  • Ability to balance multiple competing priorities and work streams
