About the Role
This entry-level position supports the adoption of artificial intelligence (AI) within Constellation Generation by performing technical tasks under direct supervision. The role focuses on identifying opportunities to apply AI, simplify workflows, reduce manual effort, and improve worker efficiency, productivity, and consistency. You will assist with requirements gathering, solution design, testing, deployment, documentation, and ongoing improvement of AI-enabled tools while ensuring compliance with safety, security, governance, regulatory, and responsible AI standards.
Responsibilities
- Ensure AI, automation, and engineering solutions comply with applicable safety analyses, regulatory requirements, cybersecurity standards, data governance requirements, responsible AI guidance, and approved business processes.
- Perform technical activities including requirements gathering, process mapping, prompt development, solution configuration, data analysis, testing, troubleshooting, documentation, and Power BI reporting and dashboard development.
- Support the development, deployment, adoption, monitoring, and continuous improvement of AI-enabled solutions, Copilot agents, workflow automations, and other digital tools that enhance business processes and engineering functions.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, engineering personnel, Information Technology, cybersecurity, data governance, and compliance teams to deliver practical, maintainable, and secure solutions aligned with Constellation standards.
- Perform additional job assignments as directed, including emergency response duties, department coverage, and support for outage activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, OR
- Associate's degree in the above fields with 2 years of related experience, OR
- High school diploma/GED with 4 years of related experience.
- Foundational understanding of artificial intelligence concepts, including generative AI, large language models (LLMs), prompt design, automation, data quality, and model limitations.
- Maintain minimum access requirements or unescorted access requirements, as applicable, and favorable medical examination/testing in accordance with position duties.
Preferred Qualifications
- Coursework, internship, co-op, or project experience involving LLMs, Python, SQL, Microsoft Copilot, Copilot Studio, Azure AI, Claude, Power Platform, Power Automate, data analytics, low-code solutions, or similar AI and automation tools.
- Microsoft Power Platform, Microsoft Azure, or related technical certifications.
- Experience applying Lean Six Sigma methodologies to process improvement initiatives.
- Experience documenting workflows, business requirements, test results, user guidance, process improvements, or lessons learned.
- Demonstrated experience or project work applying artificial intelligence to improve productivity, reliability, decision support, knowledge management, or business process effectiveness.
- Exposure to power generation, energy, utility, industrial, or other highly regulated operating environments.

Pay
Expected salary range of $82,800 to $92,000, varying based on experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package.
