Associate Advisor, Commercial Risk - Middle Market

About the role
The Associate Advisor will gain knowledge of commercial insurance through an in-depth training program, with exposure to existing clients and mentorship from experienced Advisors. This role focuses on learning the firm’s insurance and risk management value proposition to support client needs and passions.
Responsibilities
- Grow your own book of business by generating, prospecting, soliciting, and closing new accounts, as well as retaining clients.
- Identify and generate new sales opportunities through analysis and discovery.
- Participate in sales meetings to review activities and prospective customers with leadership.
- Develop a full working knowledge of respective insurance line products and procedures.
- Present proposals professionally, reviewing coverages in detail to ensure client understanding.
- Maintain knowledge of the insurance industry and underwriting criteria for the firm’s Insurance Company Partners.
Requirements
- Obtain and maintain a Property & Casualty insurance license (or be willing and able to obtain it within the first 90 days of employment).
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong ability to persuade, motivate, and influence others.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Ability to learn insurance company and firm software systems.
- Alignment with the firm’s core values and culture.
Pay
Starting pay is $80,000+ annually, with negotiable salary upon hire.
