Associate Accounting Analyst
About the role
The Associate Accounting Analyst is responsible for the department’s monthly reconciliations, financial statements, and the year-end close and the year-end open processes. Reporting to the Accounting Administrator II, this role involves managing financial data and ensuring accuracy in reporting.
Responsibilities
- Manage monthly reconciliations and financial statements
- Prepare year-end close and open processes
- Ensure accuracy and compliance with financial regulations
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve discrepancies and ensure data integrity
Requirements
Minimum requirements include a bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field, and one year of relevant experience in governmental accounting and budgeting. Knowledge of financial systems and strong analytical skills are essential.
Qualifications
Applicants must submit a Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) detailing their knowledge and experience with FI$Cal month-end and year-end activities, fund and agency reconciliations, and other relevant areas. Specific examples of education, training, and experience are required.
Skills
Strong analytical, decision-making, organizational, time management, and planning skills are crucial. Candidates should also possess excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

Pay
The salary range for this position is $6,330.00 - $8,165.00, with the starting salary dependent on qualifications and experience.
Schedule
This position is currently required to work in-person at least four (4) days per week, with the possibility of adjusting based on operational needs.
