About the role

Austin Pets Alive! is not your average animal shelter. We maintain comprehensive, innovative programs designed to save the animals most at risk for euthanasia.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with other departments to implement and improve rescue programs
• Develop and execute strategies to increase adoptions and reduce euthanasia rates
• Manage volunteer coordination and training
• Engage with the community through outreach events and social media campaigns
• Oversee fundraising efforts to support the organization's mission

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., animal science, public health, social work)
• Experience in animal welfare or related field
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
• Passion for animal welfare and a commitment to reducing euthanasia rates

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience with social media management tools
• Knowledge of data analysis and reporting tools
