About the role
We are looking for an experienced Accounting Clerk to support day-to-day financial operations in Greensboro, North Carolina. This role is well suited for someone who works accurately with high-volume transactions, maintains organized records, and collaborates effectively with accounting partners.
Responsibilities
- Review financial records and compare account activity to supporting documentation to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Prepare and post journal entries while helping maintain accurate general ledger balances across assigned accounts.
- Perform bank, account, and balance sheet reconciliations on a recurring basis to ensure completeness and accuracy.
- Assist with month-end close tasks by gathering data, validating transactions, and meeting reporting deadlines.
- Use Microsoft Excel to organize financial information, analyze variances, and support routine accounting reports.
- Work within systems such as NetSuite, Oracle, or SAP to process accounting transactions and maintain reliable records.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to research outstanding items and follow through on corrective actions.
- Maintain organized documentation for reconciliations, entries, and account activity to support audit readiness and internal controls.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of accounting or accounting support experience in a clerical or transactional finance environment.
- Demonstrated ability to complete account, bank, and balance sheet reconciliations with a high level of accuracy.
- Hands-on experience preparing journal entries and supporting general ledger maintenance.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for sorting data, performing calculations, and reviewing financial details.
- Practical experience working in at least one major ERP platform such as NetSuite, Oracle, or SAP.
- Familiarity with month-end close processes and the ability to manage recurring deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a consistent approach to handling confidential financial information.
