Essential Functions
- Develop and implement operating plans, conduct studies, prepare data, and develop models and analytical tools for engineers and operations.
- Transform business processes and operational tools to enable global excellence.
- Prepare short and long-range plans, expansion, regulatory, and manpower needs.
- Gather, organize, and ensure the accuracy of data for operating plans and engineering analysis.
- Work with management to ensure suppliers and hired professional services comply with policies, procedures, and governing authorities.
- Ensure all documentation complies with FedEx requirements and processes.
- Achieve productivity, service, and cost performance improvements in operations.
- Support special study teams investigating and implementing projects related to productivity and performance.
- Assist in engineering projects and studies directed by engineering management.
- Conduct research, evaluations, and recommendations on emerging technologies, business techniques, philosophies, and methodologies.
- Assist in activities related to projects and studies in support.
- Plan and organize task assignments, priorities, schedules, and activities for initiatives as required.
- Assist with requirement specifications, solution design, system development and testing, and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Evaluate capital and expense planning.
- Provide input for annual and long-range budget processes, project and/or operational budgets based on recommendations for cost savings.
- Collect, analyze, and report financial and operational indicators for corporate or department initiatives.
- Prepare business justifications in support of the funding approval process.
- Support technical training to personnel through workshops, seminars, on-the-job training sessions, and one-on-one sessions in areas such as operations, manning, contingency planning, productivity, and cost-effectiveness.
- Establish communications between operations and corporate departments to provide technical and local expertise related to corporate or department initiatives and operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering or a related field required.
- Strong analytical skills, strong systems and computer skills, ability to communicate at all levels required.
- Knowledge to develop models and tools, ability to create short and long-term plans, including operational plans.
- Knowledge to work with large amounts of data and cleanse for accurate analysis.
Preferred Qualifications
- $4,107.80/mo - $10,744.16/mo pay range.

Additional Details
