About the role
The Associate Manager, Materials Planner plays a key role in enabling supply chain readiness for Hershey’s packaging, ingredients, and paste initiatives. In this role, you will lead Materials Management project work across multiple concurrent initiatives, helping ensure materials, systems, processes, and cross-functional partners are aligned from project design through implementation and go-live.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the Materials Management project lead for Packaging, Ingredients, and Paste initiatives, managing multiple concurrent projects and supporting execution from project design through implementation and go-live.
- Assess impacts to current operations and coordinate required setup activities across SAP S/4 configuration, contracts, planning systems, transportation lanes, network extensions, and inventory strategies.
- Partner closely with Materials Management, Procurement, Manufacturing, Demand Planning, MA, and OBD teams to align requirements, complete system setups, mitigate risks, and support successful project execution.
- Drive supply chain readiness by helping ensure the right materials are available in the right quantities, at the right location, and at the right time.
- Provide regular updates, issue resolution, and project status reporting to support transparency and alignment with the broader project team.
- Analyze inventory performance, material availability, and planning gaps; recommend adjustments that improve operational efficiency, materials flow, service levels, and inventory outcomes.
- Support CI/CA project entry, contribute to special projects and process improvement initiatives, and help remove roadblocks, improve efficiencies, and drive value for the business.
Requirements
- 3+ years of relevant experience in supply chain, materials management, planning, operations planning, project management, or a related area.
- Demonstrated experience in CPG supply chains, Materials Management, Planning, and cross-functional project management is highly preferred.
- Experience using SAP, Excel, Power BI, and Accolade is preferred.
- Strong collaboration skills with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and communicate constraints, risks, and dependencies clearly.
Qualifications
- Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
