Basic Qualifications
Demonstrated Leadership characteristics and experience leading multidiscipline teams in a Repairs Environment.
Experience Supporting or working in a Matrix Type Organization.
Five plus years experience managing Warehouse operations to include activities like receiving, put aways, inventory.
Familiarization and experience with SAP.
Proficient in Basis of Estimate creation/review.
Strong interpersonal, communication and networking ability able to generate innovative solutions through process improvement and change management events.
Broad experience with logistics management, logistics management systems, data analysis and inventory management / control.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the demonstrated ability to communicate to all levels of management and customer organization.
Able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
Proficient knowledge of Microsoft suite of tools (e.g. Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).

THE WORK
This job requisition is for an associate-level manager role overseeing the Owego-based Supply Chain and Depot team within Global Sustainment.
The candidate will be responsible for managing a team of Logistics Management Analysts who oversee the repair of Government-Furnished Equipment (GFE) and Government-Furnished Material (GFM) at the depot level across many programs and customers.
Management responsibilities include, but are not limited to, oversight, supervision, and performance evaluations of assigned employees engaged in the full-spectrum sustainment operations.
The candidate will ensure that the most efficient and effective processes are used in handling customer material and will provide leadership to maintain compliance with established process standards and contractual requirements.
The candidate will stay current on activities delegated to direct reports and will provide appropriate flow-down of information to staff.
The candidate will also be responsible for reviewing all Basis of Estimates affecting supported tasks and requirements to determine applicability, scope, and accurate forecasting, and to advise on necessary changes, including identifying additional requirements to ensure total enterprise compliance.
This may include participation in bid proposals, kick-off meetings, and program-management review meetings.
Additionally, the candidate must possess a comprehensive understanding and application of business principles, concepts, practices, and standards; be proficient with Department of War (DoW) systems; and understand DoW cataloging processes and logistics terminology.
The candidate will also manage the receiving depot and local bond room (warehouse) where GFM is located, ensuring alignment with all policies and procedures directed by Sustainment Command Media.
This role is onsite full-time at our Owego location, working a 4 × 10 A-track schedule (Monday through Thursday, with Friday, Saturday and Sunday off).
Occasional off-schedule support may be required to address Friday or weekend requests as they arise.

Desired Skills
Experience and strong understanding of Department Of War maintenance and repair cycles/systems and their processes; FAR / DFAR compliance and property accountability knowledge is a plus.
Experience with executing DOW repair programs, inventories and inventory control.
Previous work experience utilizing logistics automation systems and technologies to improve logistic efficiencies, effectiveness, inventory control, forecasting, and metric generation.
