Assoc Clinical Spec (Regional) (Location: New Orleans)

About the role

The Associate Clinical Specialist independently provides customer support for Fujifilm’s ES equipment in the Endoscopy department and/or specified departments. This role manages all relevant equipment, using judgment and decision-making skills to troubleshoot and train customers on proper handling. The position serves as the primary clinical resource for Fujifilm and its sales team regionally, handling inquiries and issues while partnering with customer staff—including physicians, reprocessing departments, technicians, and nurses—to maintain Fujifilm equipment. Occasional support for additional customers within the zone may be required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary resource for continuous training and education on Fujifilm’s equipment and services for regional customers.
• Deliver post-sale, face-to-face client support, including:
  • Set up and support Fujifilm video tower/system.
  • Inspect, troubleshoot, and maintain all Fujifilm equipment.
  • Monitor, report, and support repair transactions.
  • Provide case observation, staff training on Fujifilm technologies, and overall customer support.
  • Perform daily maintenance and independent management of client equipment.
• Identify process improvement opportunities and design workflows to enhance efficiency and reduce repairs.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for repair history, root cause analysis, and implementing plans to minimize future damages.
• Develop and deliver comprehensive weekly/monthly reports to senior management on installation progress, training effectiveness, and trends to strengthen Key Opinion Leader (KOL) relationships.
• Analyze and present data-driven insights to monitor installation, usage, and training progress.
• Maintain customer data for integration into a future database application.
• Attend local, regional, and national trade shows as requested.
• Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
• Comply with U.S. FDA medical device regulatory requirements, ISO 13485 standards, and all applicable laws and regulations.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent (required). Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related quantitative disciplines (preferred).
• Minimum of 2 years of field sales or clinical experience (desired).
• Knowledge of and experience in GI/pulmonary flexible endoscopy; advanced therapeutic procedures (highly preferred).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), MS Outlook, and other email applications.
• Strong oral and written communication skills for technical and professional interactions.
• Ability to troubleshoot Fujifilm endoscopy equipment and determine root causes of issues.
• Strong time management and decision-making skills to assess equipment usage and training needs.
• Ability to provide expert guidance, training, and workflow optimization support.
• Analytical skills to present data-driven insights.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize customer requirements, and present to small groups.
• Basic mathematical skills for discount calculations.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to use hands and fingers to manipulate items, including keyboards.

• Ability to lift and carry up to 25–50 lbs.
• Close vision: ability to see clearly at twenty inches or less.

Travel

Occasional travel (up to 50%) may be required based on business need.

Pay

$59,000 base salary with an $8,000 KPI variable bonus opportunity.
