Assitant Store Manager

Assists the Store Manager in overseeing total store operations, supervising department managers, ensuring excellent customer service, and achieving sales and profit goals.

As an employee-owner, this role models pride of ownership, treating customers and company assets with care. Employees contribute to store success by protecting profitability, preventing loss, and ensuring excellent customer experiences.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support department managers and staff across the store.
• Assist in hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management.
• Oversee store operations in the Store Manager’s absence.
• Monitor and achieve sales, profit, labor, and shrink goals.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, LP standards, and safety regulations.
• Resolve customer issues and ensure satisfaction.
• Assist with budgeting, financial reporting, and administrative duties.
• Monitor customer service and employee engagement scores.
• Ensure store safety and compliance audit results meet targets.

Qualifications

• Previous management experience in grocery retail required.
• Strong leadership and decision-making skills.
• Knowledge of grocery operations, merchandising, and compliance.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Requirements

• Stand/walk for extended periods.
• Lift/move up to 50 lbs occasionally.
• Work in varied temperature environments.

Schedule

Varied schedule including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
