Assistive Technology Professional
JOB PURPOSE
Congratulations! You've landed a spot as an Assistive Technology Professional at Numotion. Your primary responsibility is to conduct comprehensive assessments to identify clients' needs, functional limitations, and mobility goals. You'll also collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, including therapists, physicians, clients, and caregivers, to develop individualized plans of care. Additionally, you’ll recommend appropriate CRT equipment and associated interventions based on client needs and goals, manage procurement processes, and provide thorough training and education to clients, families, and caregivers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in related field or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
- Valid Assistive Technology Professional (ATP) certification
- One (1) year experience working with complex rehabilitation technology
- Previous experience in selling DME equipment
- Comprehensive understanding of rehabilitation equipment, including power wheelchairs, manual wheelchairs, seating systems, adaptive controls, and other assistive devices
- Working knowledge of compliant billing processes for rehab/assistive technology equipment as necessary (e.g., Medicare, Medicaid, etc.)
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, responsibilities, and projects independently and effectively
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to work overtime as needed
Qualifications
- Valid Drivers License
- Extensive knowledge of various clinical conditions impacting mobility, such as spinal cord injury, cerebral palsy, multiple sclerosis, and stroke
- Comprehensive understanding of rehabilitation equipment, including power wheelchairs, manual wheelchairs, seating systems, adaptive controls, and other assistive devices
- Working knowledge of compliant billing processes for rehab/assistive technology equipment as necessary (e.g., Medicare, Medicaid, etc.)
- Ability to perform thorough and competent seating/mobility, assistive technology, and rehab equipment evaluations
- Ability to meet essential functions of the position with reasonable accommodations as necessary

Schedule
Frequent use of hands, wrists, fingers associated with computer equipment. Prolonged periods of time working at a desk and/or on a computer. Occasionally move and reach with arms and hands. Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs and push/pull up to 100 lbs as needed.
