Assisted Living LPN - 16 hours Per Week
Position Summary
We are seeking a compassionate, dependable, and experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Assisted Living team for the evening shift (3:00 PM – 11:00 PM). The LPN is responsible for providing quality nursing care to residents while ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being in accordance with physician orders, state regulations, and community policies.
Qualifications
- Current and active LPN license in good standing
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse required
- Previous experience in an assisted living facility preferred
- Strong clinical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with residents, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary staff
- CPR certification preferred
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Maintain residents’ health status and report changes to the appropriate personnel
- Provide direct nursing care and support to residents as needed
- Complete accurate and timely documentation in resident records
- Respond promptly to resident emergencies and medical concerns
- Supervise and support Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) and care staff during the shift
- Ensure compliance with all state regulations, infection control standards, and facility policies
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare providers
- Participate in shift report and care planning meetings
- Promote a positive, respectful, and safe environment for residents and staff
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift as required throughout the shift
- Ability to assist residents with mobility and emergency situations
- Ability to work evening hours, weekends, and holidays as schedule
