Responsibilities

• Maintains and implements nursing policies and procedures that reflect current standards of nursing practice, company, and facility philosophy of care while ensuring compliance with state and federal laws and regulations.
• Communicates and interprets policies and procedures to nursing staff.
• Monitors practices for effective implementation and achievement of results.
• Conducts resident assessments, suggesting appropriate service packages to residents and families as directed.
• Ensures delivery of compassionate quality care through adequate staffing, cleanliness, absence of odors and pressure wounds, and maintenance of optimal physical, mental, and psychosocial function.
• Demonstrates knowledge and application of Key Clinical Quality Indicators.
• Reviews 24‑hour reports from each unit daily to respond promptly to significant changes in condition, transfers, discharges, restraint use, unexplained injuries, potential abuse or neglect, medication errors, lost resident property, or signs of resident/family dissatisfaction.
