Assistant Warehouse Supervisor

About the role

The position of Assistant Warehouse Supervisor Government Distribution is within our Toxicology Unit located in Portsmouth, Virginia at Instant Technologies. In this role, you will plan, organize, and monitor the printing, picking, and shipping of all point-of-care and lab supply orders for the Government Vertical. You will also manage daily sales order uploads and maintain payroll for lab supply employees.

Responsibilities

• Plans and coordinates work, trains and motivates, monitors, and evaluates performance of Government employees.
• Responsible for monitoring daily reports: Open order report, Backorder report.
• Responsible for meeting all site goals as directed by the Site director.
• Responsible for maintaining accurate inventory levels across Government Lab and POCT verticals.
• Responsible for drafting work instructions and standard operating procedures in Ensur.
• Liaison between warehouse and sales to resolve any customer requests; ensures ability to safely operate material handling equipment and upholds health, safety and security in the workplace at all times.
• Responsible for training, coaching and providing feedback to employees.
• Oversees the printing, picking, packing, shipping, and quality checking processes.
• Responsible for working with management on NPIs or Chain of custody form revisions.
• Ensures warehouse cleanliness by maintaining and managing a cleaning schedule.
• Assists the site leader in helping to coordinate, organize, and manage special projects.
• Creates, implements, monitors, and manages all work instructions and procedures in the Warehouse Government Department.

Requirements

• High school diploma, general education degree or equivalent
• 3-5 years Warehouse leadership experience

• Ability to manage up to 20 to 25 warehouse personnel
• Strong organizational and planning skills
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Familiarity with creating Excel and PowerPoint in Microsoft Office for data analysis and reporting

Pay

The base pay for this position is $50,700.00 – $101,300.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
