What will you be doing?

Participate in the day-to-day operations of the technology function, working across a range of technology capabilities for our customers and colleagues.

  • Reactivate and proactively resolve Incidents, perform Changes, and upgrade existing Windows Server Infrastructure.
  • Support Windows Clusters, antivirus, backups, deployment tools, and monitoring tools, as well as capacity management.
  • Provide end-to-end support in all major Incidents with business impact by collaborating with other support teams to recover services.
  • Participation in the design and innovation of products using the latest technologies.
  • Provide continuous Service Improvements and Automation development.
  • Implement business-driven changes and requests.
  • Vulnerability Management - Monthly Windows Patching on 50K+ servers to ensure compliance.
  • Service Resilience - Performing DCR activities to ensure services are functioning as expected at remote locations.
  • Backup & Recovery - Regularly backing up OS and application data without interruptions.
  • Complete problem resolution including: problem management, root cause analysis, and implementation of remedies.
  • Windows Security - Working with CSO (Risk) management team members to understand risks, impacts, and basic troubleshooting in user access issues.
  • Provide advice and consultation to minimize the occurrence and impact of service incidents through process improvement.
  • Ensure Compliance with all risk and audit requirements.
  • May telecommute pursuant to company policies.

Purpose of the role

To effectively monitor and maintain the bank's critical technology infrastructure and resolve more complex technical issues, while minimizing disruption to operations.

Accountabilities

  • Provision of technical support for the service management function to resolve more complex issues for a specific client or group of clients.
  • Development of the support model and service offering to improve the service to customers and stakeholders.
  • Execution of preventative maintenance tasks on hardware and software, and utilization of monitoring tools/metrics to identify, prevent, and address potential issues and ensure optimal performance.
  • Maintenance of a knowledge base containing detailed documentation of resolved cases for future reference, self-service opportunities, and knowledge sharing.
  • Analysis of system logs, error messages, and user reports to identify the root causes of hardware, software, and network issues, and provide a resolution to these issues by fixing or replacing faulty hardware components, reinstalling software, or applying configuration changes.
  • Automation, monitoring enhancements, capacity management, resiliency, business continuity management, front office specific support, and stakeholder management.
  • Identification and remediation or raising, through appropriate processes, of potential service impacting risks and issues.
  • Proactively assess support activities, implementing automations where appropriate to maintain stability and drive efficiency. Actively tune monitoring tools, thresholds, and alerts to ensure issues are known when they occur.

Pay

Minimum Salary: $150,550.00 per year
Maximum Salary: $160,000.00 per year
