Assistant Volleyball Coach

General Description Of Position

Affords support to the Head Coach in creating a structured practice schedule that leverages coaching staff at various levels.

Affords support to the Head Coach in establishing an academic plan aimed at enhancing student academic performance.

Collaborates with athletic and school administration to ensure a high-quality athletic experience for all athletes.

Maximizes practice time for both individual and team development.

Supervises and administers locker rooms, training rooms, and bus trips.

Affords support to the Head Coach in developing a summer/offseason program to enhance skills and strength.

Affords support to the Head Coach in managing paperwork and eligibility requirements, including registration, match scores, records, etc.

Affords support to the Head Coach in organizing and preparing for banquets and other team events to recognize athletes' achievements.

Ensures the care and maintenance of equipment, including issuance, collection, inventory, and storage.

Communicates with administration regarding athletic equipment requests, budget needs, unusual events, etc.

Fulfills proper district procedures for purchasing equipment and operates within the budget.

Attends all-conference meetings as needed and complies with IHSA requests.

Affords support to the Head Coach in maintaining communication with feeder coaches, programs, parents, athletes, and the transportation department both within and outside the season.

Qualifications

PEL or certified coach, ASEP certification and/or substitute certification required.

Pay

Based on Plano CUSD 88's Collective Bargaining Agreement.
