Assistant Vitamin/HBA Manager

About the role

As the Assistant Vitamin/HBA Manager at Sprouts Farmers Market, you will help customers make healthy choices by providing excellent customer service and leading one of the busiest teams in our store. This role involves managing and merchandising the department for maximum productivity and profit, overseeing ordering and inventory controls, and supervising the Vitamin/HBA team.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Vitamin/HBA Manager in managing and merchandising the department.
• Responsible for ordering, inventory controls, product quality, and supervision of the Vitamin/HBA team.
• Coordinate production, merchandising, and sales through planning, direction, goal setting, communication, and teamwork.
• Lead a team to deliver high-quality products, exceptional service, and a great customer experience.
• Provide guidance on vitamins, supplements, and health and beauty products without prescribing.
• Maintain in-depth knowledge of vitamins, supplements, and related health and body items.
• Assist in recruiting, hiring, developing, mentoring, and motivating the Vitamin team.
• Unload and sort store deliveries.
• Ensure compliance with company health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
• Perform general housekeeping in the department, including cleaning and dusting.
• Adhere to all safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations.

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age with a minimum of 1 year of vitamin, homeopathy, or holistic experience with leadership duties; or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
• Dependable and reliable with the ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Outgoing and friendly behavior with a positive attitude and ability to interact with customers.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
• Strong organization and prioritization skills.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and climb throughout the workday.
• Ability to lift, stack, and maneuver heavy objects weighing up to 50 lbs., from 4” to 72”, for a distance up to 2 feet without mechanical assistance.
• Ability to move a ladder requiring a force up to 5 lbs., up to 2 hours, for a distance up to 25 feet.
• Ability to maneuver a utility cart holding 20 lbs. requiring a force up to 35 lbs., up to 2 hours, for a distance up to 20 feet.
• Ability to walk up to 3 miles in an 8-hour shift.
• Willingness to learn about new products and alternative health.
