Position Responsibilities
- Identifying and implementing direct and indirect tax planning opportunities
- Creating, implementing and managing tax models and forecasts impacting cash, tax expense and tax asset/assets liabilities including potential effects from tax planning, business activity and/or M&A activity
- Supporting M&A activity including due diligence, structuring and implementation
- Being a functional contact supporting business leaders on tax and tax-related matters
- Supporting various business initiatives
Position Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with 10+ years of public accounting and/or in-house corporate tax department experience (or equivalent)
- Experience in Insurance, financial services or healthcare sectors
- Experience with accounting for income taxes
- Experience with data visualization tools
- Ability to work effectively in a matrix environment, influencing strategy and achieving goals by working with people across the organization
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Highly effective interpersonal skills, including written and oral communication skills, with an ability to address complex tax matters in ways that are meaningful and useful to non-tax professionals
- Effective presentation skills
- Prior proven process-improvement track record
- Advanced law degree or Master's degree in Tax, Accounting, or related field preferred
Pay
The range for this position is $190,000 to $220,000.

This is a hybrid role based out of our Chicago, IL location.
