Description

Children's Cottage of Wilmington is a licensed childcare center seeking an Assistant Teacher to support in the following age groups: Two's.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED
• The ability to pass all background checks
• A plus if you have previous childcare experience

Requirements

• Required Shift: Monday - Friday, 8:30am-5:30 p.m.

Pay

$15-$17/hr. based on education and experience

Job Responsibilities

• Assist the lead teacher with all aspects of the classroom in a manner consistent with the philosophy and goals of the center.
• Implement activities that encourage each child’s growth in the areas of emotion, social, cognitive, creative, and physical development.
• Take direction, accept constructive criticism, and make improvements and changes as necessary for the betterment of the quality of the program.
• Create and maintain an environment that is clean and safe for all children.
• Establish a professional level of rapport with each family to provide quality care for the children.
• Physical ability to work around small children including sitting, standing, walking, running, and climbing stairs.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. and fulfill all physical requirements of the role.
