Assistant Transportation Manager- SFO

Responsibilities

• Directly manage 85–90 drivers across multiple airports, creating a collaborative, high-performance culture.
• Ensure seamless, safe, on-time crew transportation; solve issues quickly while upholding SkyHop’s high service standards.
• Provide hands-on support with scheduling, coaching, and performance management to boost service quality and morale.
• Enforce DOT regulations and company safety protocols; conduct regular inspections and audits of vehicles and drivers.
• Serve as the primary contact for airline clients, proactively addressing concerns and ensuring exceptional service delivery.
• Review key metrics to identify trends, improve operations, and communicate performance to senior leadership.

Requirements

• 2+ years of hands-on management experience overseeing large, diverse teams.
• Demonstrated ability to recruit, develop, and retain talent while holding teams accountable to performance and safety standards.
• Skilled at managing multiple priorities, resolving challenges in real time, and maintaining operational control in a fast-paced environment.
• Experienced in workforce planning, cost control, and process optimization to ensure service reliability and profitability.
• Available to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed to support a true 24/7/365 operation.

Qualifications

• Transportation, logistics, or other 24/7 operational industries a plus but not necessary—we need a leader.
• Exceptional communicator able to engage with employees at every level—from frontline drivers to airline executives—with professionalism and clarity.
• Tech-savvy and data-informed; comfortable using scheduling, dispatch, and performance tracking systems to analyze trends and drive continuous improvement.

Schedule

On-site in Burlingame, CA, supporting operations at SFO, OAK, and SJC airports; 24/7/365 coverage with early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
