Assistant Coach

  • Min: $3,395
  • Max: $4,185

Placement based on years of coaching experience on the Middle School Coaches Salary Schedule.

Requirements

  • Must meet district and WIAA requirements, including a valid background check.
  • Must be at least 19 years of age.
  • Must have a valid first aid and CPR card.
  • Must annually complete:
    • WIAA general rules clinic.
    • WIAA-approved rule clinic for the sport being coached.
    • KSD Vector Training requirements prior to the beginning of the sports season.
  • Must have successfully completed Concussion Recognition and Management with Return to Play Protocols training (renewed every three years).
  • Must have successfully completed Sudden Cardiac Arrest Awareness and Training (renewed every three years).
  • Before the beginning of the third year of coaching, must complete one of the following:
    • School district-approved Coaching Principles training.
    • NFHS Coaches Fundamentals Course.
    • Attend all sessions of the WIAA Coaches School.
    • Other Coaches School as approved by the WIAA or the local school district.
  • After initial completion, must repeat the above training every three years.
  • If hired, must read and sign the KSD Coaches Manual.
