About the role
For the 26/27 school year only.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the development and implementation of middle school coaching programs.
- Work closely with the head coach to support team practices and games.
- Provide support to students, parents, and other coaches as needed.
Requirements
- Valid background check.
- Valid first aid and CPR card.
- Successfully completed Concussion recognition and management training.
- Successfully completed Sudden Cardiac Arrest Awareness and Training.
- Completed Coaching Principles training or NFHS Coaches Fundamentals Course or WIAA Coaches School.
Qualifications
- Persons applying for paid coaching positions must meet district and WIAA requirements.
- Applicants for head coaching positions must be at least 21 years old.
- Applicants for assistant coaching positions must be at least 19 years old.
Skills
- Strong leadership skills.
- Ability to work well with children and adults.
- Knowledge of relevant sports and coaching techniques.
