Assistant Toddler Teacher
About the role
We are actively seeking a caring, energetic, and reliable Assistant Toddler Teacher to support a safe and engaging classroom environment where children are encouraged to explore. Working alongside the Lead Teacher, you will help implement age-appropriate learning activities utilizing the High Scope curriculum. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about early childhood education who is committed to making a meaningful difference in the lives of young learners every day.
This is a regular, full-time, onsite position located in Clarkston, MI. The desired start date is August 17, 2026.
Schedule
Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
Pay
$14.50 - $18.50 per hour, depending on education, certification, and years of experience in early childhood education.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Prior experience working with toddlers in a classroom setting is preferred.
- Reliable transportation.
- Consent to background screening, including fingerprinting.
- Prior experience with the High Scope Curriculum is a plus.
- Possess a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or be working toward a degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field (preferred).
- CPR certification is required for all teaching staff but may be obtained within 30 days of hire.
- Must be authorized to work for any employer in the US (this position does not qualify for US Visa sponsorship or relocation).
