About This Role
Lotus Learning Center in Nashville, TN is hiring an Assistant Toddler Teacher to support daily operations at an early childhood education center. This position offers $16 – $18/Hr and requires relevant professional experience.
Assistant Teachers play a vital role in shaping a nurturing and stimulating learning environment. They form strong bonds with children and families, and work collaboratively to deliver a high-quality educational program.
This position reports directly to the Education Director.
What You'll Do
- Participate in the development and implementation of a child-centered curriculum that promotes a love of learning
- Engage with children in a way that encourages social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth, and fosters a sense of joy and wonder
- Build trusting relationships with children and support their social-emotional development through responsive and nurturing interactions
- Maintain a safe and clean indoor and outdoor learning environment, ensuring the well-being of all children
- Actively contribute to staff meetings and professional development opportunities, enhancing their own skills and knowledge
Requirements
- Must pass a full criminal background check
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
- Child CPR and First Aid certification
- Must clear health screening
- Child Development Associate (CDA) credential is preferred for Toddler Teachers; Associate's or Bachelor's degree is preferred for Preschool Teachers; High School Diploma (required)
- Minimum of 1-3 years of professional child care experience

- Strong understanding of child development, with the ability to apply this knowledge in a practical setting
- Basic computer skills and strong oral and written communication skills
- High energy and flexibility, with the ability to adapt to the needs of a growing center
