Job Summary
FirstLight Home Care of Greater Brighton is hiring an Assistant to the Lead Caregiver Trainer to support clients, families, and caregivers in the Howell and Brighton areas. This role combines hands-on training and field supervision with direct client care.
What You'll Do
- Assist the Lead Caregiver Trainer with hands-on training for new and current caregivers
- Conduct supervisory visits in clients' homes to ensure care quality and care plan adherence
- Perform client meet-and-greets and welcome visits for new clients and their families
- Provide direct client care about 20 hours per week, including bathing, dressing, mobility, transfers, and companionship
- Support scheduling and coverage needs, including some nights and weekends
What We're Looking For
- Genuine availability for nights and weekends
- Minimum 1 year of caregiving experience; CNA preferred
- Able to provide professional references
- Reliable transportation and a valid Michigan driver's license
- Strong communication and people skills
- Dependable, organized, and calm under pressure
