About the role
The Assistant Technical Director is responsible for supporting the technical aspects of production, ensuring all equipment and systems are functioning properly, and assisting in the coordination of technical elements during performances.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the maintenance and troubleshooting of all technical equipment and systems used in productions.
- Coordinate with the Production Manager and other departments to ensure seamless integration of technical elements with stage design and performance elements.
- Prepare and present technical reports and updates to the Production Manager and senior staff.
- Assist in the training and supervision of technical crew members.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Theatre Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in theatre technology or related field.
- Strong knowledge of lighting, sound, and video systems.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in using industry-standard software and tools.
- Experience with theatrical rigging and set construction.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and emergency procedures.
Skills
- Technical proficiency in lighting, sound, and video systems.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Pay
- $50,000 - $60,000 annually.
