Assistant Technical Director and Performance Services Event Manager

Responsibilities

• Aid in production planning and verify technical requirements.
• Support the timely and effective execution of performances within safety standards and schedules.
• Manage, build, and assemble scenic elements for productions.
• Rig any hung elements to safety standards and install and focus lighting/sound/video elements.
• Supervise and train student production assistants.
• Maintain and organize storage and performance areas, and oversee technical equipment maintenance.
• Meet with department leads to discuss project improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in theatre production.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and procedures.
• Demonstrated ability to supervise and train student staff.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate effectively with various departments.
• Experience in scenery construction, stage lighting, sound reinforcement and mixing, and rigging for theatre and music events.
• Familiarity with lighting, sound, and video equipment, and experience in using computer-aided drafting software (Vectorworks preferred).

Benefits

This is a full-time, 12-month, benefit and paid leave eligible position with a salary of $60,000 per year.
