About the role
The Security Services Department at MIT Lincoln Laboratory seeks a highly motivated and experienced Team Lead to oversee special programs aimed at enhancing the laboratory's security protocols. - Oversee the execution of special security programs designed to protect MIT Lincoln Laboratory's facilities and personnel from various threats.
- Collaborate with research teams and government counterparts to address emerging security challenges and integrate new technologies.
- Develop and enforce security policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal regulations and organizational standards.
- Conduct regular security assessments and risk evaluations to identify vulnerabilities and recommend corrective actions.
- Manage a team of security professionals, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to enhance their skills and effectiveness.
- Ensure adherence to all relevant security clearances and background investigations.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to inform strategic decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field such as cybersecurity, engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in security operations, preferably within a government or defense-related setting.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful security programs.
- Experience managing a team of security professionals.
- Knowledge of security policies, procedures, and regulatory frameworks.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
