Assistant Team Lead (Packing room)
Full Time | Elizabethtown, PA | Day shift M – F / 6 am to 2:30 pm | $22.00
What You Will Do
- Coordinate and prepare work aligned with the supply and demand plan and production schedule
- Inspect raw materials and verify product labeling to ensure accuracy and quality
- Weigh, pack, and label candy products as determined by printed work orders and/or component statements
- Document completed work orders and record finished goods build data
- Perform routine inventory audits
- Operate forklift
- Understand and adhere to all Cargill safety rules and regulations
- Use scanners and computers as necessary
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment
- Interact regularly with peers and management to pursue continuous improvement
- Collaborate with different departments during high-volume peak periods
- Perform other duties as assigned
What You Will Need
- Eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
- Minimum of 18 years old (Cargill requirement for production warehouse facility work)
- Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50 lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting safely, with or without a reasonable accommodation
- Ability to work in varied indoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Ability to operate machinery and/or light industrial equipment with or without reasonable accommodation
- Experience in a production environment
- Ability to work overtime including weekends, holidays, or different shifts with advance notice
- Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above)
What Will Put You Ahead
- Experience as a lead on a team
- Basic math skills
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)
- Forklift experience operating both sit-down and stand-up forklifts as well as electric hand jacks
- High school diploma/GED or a minimum of two years equivalent work experience in a production environment
- Experience in a food manufacturing production environment
