About the role

The Department of Mathematics at Rowan University is seeking to hire one or more Full Time Temporary Assistant Teaching Professor positions in Mathematical Sciences or closely related fields. The positions are 10-month, with the appointment of 2 years, and include benefits.

Responsibilities

  • Teach a total of 24 credits over two semesters, with the option to teach overload and summer classes for additional compensation.
  • Contribute to the University and profession through service activities.

Requirements

  • A PhD degree in Mathematical Sciences or a related discipline is expected; candidates with Master’s degrees will be considered.
  • A commitment to teaching excellence at the undergraduate level.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should have a strong commitment to inclusive teaching.
  • A statement of teaching philosophy that includes the candidate’s commitment to inclusive teaching.
  • Candidate’s graduate transcripts (unofficial copies acceptable for initial review).

Skills

  • Ability to teach a variety of courses in Mathematical Sciences or closely related fields.
  • Experience with inclusive teaching practices.
