Primary Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging, student-centered instruction in a variety of Business Information Technology courses, with a focus on web development, AI tools for business applications, and social and digital media.
  • Teach and develop curriculum related to Business Information Technology.
  • Collaborate with faculty and industry partners to ensure curriculum remains aligned with workforce needs and emerging technologies.
  • Develop and update course syllabi, assignments, and assessments in alignment with department goals and current industry standards.
  • Engage in outreach, recruitment, and enrollment events and activities.
  • Participate in department meetings, curriculum development, and college-wide initiatives.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and developments related to Business Information Technology.
  • Engage in professional development activities to enhance teaching skills and remain knowledgeable in areas of expertise.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in an appropriate field with either three (3) years of teaching experience or an appropriate combination of teaching, relevant work experience, and scholarly activity.
  • Additional coursework in an appropriate field is desirable.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without a visa sponsorship.

Additional Information

The annual minimum salary for Assistant Professor is $58,276. The salary will increase to $59,995 on September 1, 2026. Salary offer will be based on the candidate's qualifications and experience. Offers of employment will be conditional based upon the results of a satisfactory, required pre-employment Standard Background Check.
