Assistant Teaching Professor, Department of Finance
About the role
The Department of Finance in the Trulaske College of Business at the University of Missouri invites qualified applicants to apply for a non-tenure-track position starting in Fall 2027 at the rank of Assistant Teaching Professor. The teaching load is 12 credit hours per semester. The candidate will generally teach at the undergraduate level but may also include graduate level courses. Courses are typically on campus but may be conducted online. In addition to teaching, the candidate will be expected to actively participate in University service. There is an 80/20 split between teaching and service. This is strictly a teaching position with zero support for research.
Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate courses in Finance, with the possibility of teaching graduate-level courses
- Conduct courses primarily on campus, with potential for online instruction
- Participate in University service activities
Qualifications
- PhD in Finance from an AACSB accredited business program by the time of appointment

- Commitment to excellence in teaching
- Ability and willingness to teach a wide variety of courses in Finance
- Ability and willingness to develop online courses
- Prior online teaching experience
