Assistant Teacher (Todder)
About the role
The British International School of Boston is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced teacher to join our dynamic team. As a member of our school community, you will contribute to the holistic development of our students through a variety of teaching methods and extracurricular activities.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons that meet the needs of all students
- Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback
- Incorporate technology into the classroom to enhance learning experiences
- Mentor and support students in developing their personal and social skills
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational trends and techniques
Requirements
- Master's degree in education or related field
- At least 3 years of teaching experience at the secondary level
- Strong knowledge of curriculum standards and assessment tools
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
- Passion for fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment
Qualifications
- Valid teaching license in the state where the position is located
- Experience working with students from diverse backgrounds
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Skills
- Effective classroom management skills
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs
- Knowledge of educational technology and its integration into the classroom
