Assistant Teacher, Part-Time Positions Available

About the role

The ideal candidate will assist in play-based preschool environments grounded in faith and love, working cooperatively with a lead teacher and other staff members to provide a warm, developmentally appropriate environment for children aged 24 months to 5 years.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with other teaching staff to create a warm, developmentally appropriate environment for preschool-aged children.
• Work with children as young as 24 months of age.
• Build positive and professional relationships with administration, coworkers, students, and families.
• Enforce required safety procedures and policies of St. Odilia Preschool as per DHS guidelines.
• Support the mission of St. Odilia Preschool by helping children discover, learn, and support its values.

Requirements

• Must meet DHS Rule 3 requirements for assistant teacher.
• Experience working with young children, CDA preferred.

Qualifications

• Able to collaborate and work well with other teaching staff.
• Positive and professional relationships with administration, coworkers, students, and families.
• Enforce required safety procedures and policies of St. Odilia Preschool as per DHS guidelines.

• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to follow a play-based teaching philosophy.

Schedule

• 1:00-5:30pm, Monday through Friday
• 7:30-9:30am Monday through Friday
• 7:00am-9:15 Monday through Friday
• Additional hours available through subbing.
