About the role

The Goddard School seeks a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Teacher. This position offers a supportive leadership environment, professional development opportunities, and the chance to make a meaningful impact in children's lives.

Responsibilities

  • Aid in implementing fun, age-appropriate lesson plans and classroom activities
  • Support children’s social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through positive interactions
  • Prepare classroom materials and maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming learning environment
  • Supervise children while encouraging independence, confidence, and a sense of belonging
  • Communicate with families about their child's daily activities and progress
  • Follow all health, safety, and licensing regulations to ensure a secure classroom
  • Assist with daily routines and provide nurturing care throughout the day

Requirements

  • Has a genuine love for working with young children
  • Bridges positivity, patience, and enthusiasm to the classroom
  • Enjoys collaborating with others and contributing to a supportive team
  • Is dependable, organized, and able to work independently
  • Basic understanding of child development
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds as needed when caring for children

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education (preferred)
