About the role
The Program Assistant will work to ensure comprehensive Head Start services are provided to children and families enrolled in the program. This position will utilize the Center environment to assist staff with creating rich learning opportunities that build on daily routines and support each child's development.
Responsibilities
- Aid in the creation of a nurturing and inclusive learning environment for children.
- Support staff in implementing age-appropriate educational activities and curricula.
- Assist in maintaining a safe and healthy center environment for children and staff.
- Participate in regular training sessions to stay updated on best practices and new initiatives.
- Collaborate with families to promote positive child development and family engagement.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field.
- At least one year of relevant experience working with children and families.
- Valid CPR and First Aid certification.
- Ability to pass a background check.

- Experience with technology and familiarity with software used in early childhood education settings.
