Assistant Teacher - Early Childhood Education

Location: The Learning Experience – East Brunswick, NJ

We are seeking a caring and dependable Assistant Teacher to support our 2-Year-Old classroom. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys helping young children develop independence, communication skills, and confidence while working alongside an experienced Lead Teacher. Responsibilities

• Support the Lead Teacher in creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment
• Assist with daily routines including meals, diapering, toileting, transitions, and outdoor play
• Engage children in hands-on learning activities that promote language, social-emotional, and cognitive development
• Encourage independence and positive behaviors through consistent routines and guidance
• Help prepare classroom materials and maintain a clean, organized learning environment
• Build positive relationships with children, families, and fellow educators
• Follow all New Jersey childcare licensing regulations and health and safety standards

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Previous experience in a childcare, daycare, or preschool setting preferred
• CDA or Early Childhood Education coursework is a plus
• Patient, energetic, and dependable
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred

$17–$18 per hour
