Responsibilities

  • Implementing engaging, age-appropriate activities tailored to meet the educational goals of each child.
  • Supporting individualized learning approaches that cater to each child's unique needs and developmental stage.
  • Promoting social-emotional, cognitive, and physical growth through daily play-based learning
  • Maintaining active supervision of children at all times, indoors and outdoors.
  • Creating a safe, clean, and respectful environment that supports the well-being and exploration of each child.
  • Adhering to all health, safety, and emergency protocols.
  • Collaborating with Lead Teachers and team members to ensure consistent routines and learning experiences for all children.
  • Communicating effectively with families in a respectful and compassionate manner.
  • Participating in team meetings, training, and CEC's events as required.
  • Establishing a welcoming and inclusive environment that values diversity and promotes equitable learning opportunities for children of all abilities.
  • Modeling patience, empathy, and positive behavioral support strategies to promote a positive learning environment.
  • Fostering a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace.
  • Fostering a positive and collaborative workplace culture.

Requirements

  • Passion for early childhood education and inclusive environments.
  • Willingness to complete required childcare training and certifications.
  • Experience working with children (formal or informal).
  • A high school diploma or GED.
  • Nice to haves: CPR/First Aid Certification, CDA credential or coursework in Early Childhood Education, Experience with children with disabilities or diverse learning needs.
