About the role

Responsibilities
- Aid the classroom teacher in implementing the daily curriculum.
- Collaborate and communicate with parents, teachers, administration, and other employees at The Salvation Army.
- Foster a nurturing atmosphere and ensure positive discipline methods.
- Maintain a safe, stable, and loving environment, ensuring classrooms are clean, materials are stocked, and doors are locked at the end of each day.
- Support The Children’s Learning Center Administration and Salvation Army staff in maintaining a high-quality program.
- Pursue activities to enhance professional development and adhere to EEC regulations, center policy, and Salvation Army policies.
- Attend and participate in staff meetings and other meetings as needed.
- Perform all duties in compliance with The Salvation Army’s policies and regulations.
Qualifications
- Education: 18 years of age with a Highschool diploma or GED.
- Experience: Must be a team player and able to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbally.
- Physical Requirements: Sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, twist, grasp, push, pull, load, change settings, operate equipment, lift up to 25 lbs., and think logically and critically.
