Responsibilities

• Aid the Lead Teacher in implementing age-appropriate lesson plans
• Engage children in social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through active interaction
• Prepare and maintain classroom materials to ensure a safe and welcoming learning space
• Supervise children, providing individualized support and fostering a sense of community
• Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child’s progress and daily activities
• Adhere to health and safety guidelines and comply with licensing regulations to ensure a secure environment
• Support daily care routines and tasks to promote a nurturing atmosphere

Requirements

• A high school diploma is required
• An associate or bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education is preferred
• Show empathy and compassion towards young children
• Work effectively without direct supervision
• Have a basic understanding of child development
• Be able to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with handling children

Qualifications

• Pass required state background checks and meet state minimum education, experience, and credential requirements
