Assistant Teacher

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement educational and recreational activities for childcare in a safe environment.
• Communicate with parents daily, sharing their children’s latest adventures and achievements through various means.
• Work collaboratively with other teachers to develop engaging curricula.
• Assist with daily operations and ensure smooth school functions.
• Handle children safely, including lifting up to 50 lbs. as needed.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills.

Requirements

• One year of center-based infant and/or toddler experience preferred.
• Successfully completed state-required pre-service training.
• Ability to develop relationships and communicate effectively with children, parents, and faculty members.
• Ability to handle stressful situations professionally while multitasking.
• Infant and Young Toddler Teachers must be able to properly lift infants into and out of cribs.
• Background check eligibility required.

Qualifications
