Requirements
- High School Degree + Early Childhood NC Credentials (with at least 18 EC Ed credits) or Bachelor's in Education, Psychology.
- AAS or AA in Early Childhood Development or Child Development.
- Bilingual (Spanish and English).
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable experience in early childhood.
- Desirable: Certification in CPR and first aid.
- Criminal background check through DHHS.

- Adaptability to movement: Ability to perform rapid and precise movements when necessary to ensure the safety of children, such as assisting during play or in risky situations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Collaborates with the lead teacher in planning and executing educational activities, ensuring they align with SFF! guidelines and policies.
- Supervises and manages the classroom, promoting a structured and enriching environment.
- Helps maintain daily attendance records of children and reports any incidents to the lead teacher or administrative team.
- Guarantees that all activities comply with DCDEE regulations and SFF! standards.
- Participates actively in planning meetings, training sessions, and school events, contributing with ideas and practical solutions to improve the educational experience.
- Supports event preparation and execution, ensuring the integration and well-being of children and families.
- Maintains a safe and sanitary classroom environment according to SFF! and DCDEE guidelines, keeping the classroom clean, organized, and free from risks.
- Safeguards materials and toys, ensuring they are safe, appropriate, and regularly disinfected.
- Maintains hygiene practices among children, promoting healthy habits like hand washing and organizing belongings.
- Promotes positive interactions among children, helping them develop social skills and resolve conflicts constructively.
- Provides emotional and physical support when needed, respecting each child's individuality and specific needs.
